A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of one or more artificial teeth (called pontics) anchored in place by natural teeth or dental implants on either side, known as abutments.

• No desire (or suitability) for removable dentures or implants

The procedure is generally not painful. Local anesthesia is used while preparing the abutment teeth. Some mild discomfort or sensitivity may occur afterward but usually resolves within a few days.

Typically, the process takes two appointments:

• First visit: Tooth preparation, impressions, and placement of a temporary bridge.
• Second visit: Fitting and cementing the permanent bridge (1–2 weeks later).
