Achieve A Straight Smile with Removable, Invisible Aligners
When most people are asked about what they would change about their smiles if given the chance, the majority are conscious about any gaps or crooked teeth they have. While fixed braces are able to correct a vast range of issues and achieve greater movement, clear aligners can make dramatic improvements to a smile through gentle forces straightening problem teeth. Spark Aligners are a fantastic straighten system that uses a series of custom-made aligners that can neaten smiles without any need to remove teeth or carry out any additional treatment.

How Does Spark Work?
Aligners work slightly differently to braces as you need multiple sets to achieve the full amount of movement to create a straight, even smile. Braces are fixed and you only go through one set of brackets and wires.
Spark aligners gradually move the teeth with small movements per set of aligners. Once the aligner has reached its maximum movement, you then swap onto the next set in the series. Each aligner is worn for around two-three weeks each but it depends on how your teeth respond to the treatment.
How long treatment takes depends on your individual case. For mild cases, we can see your results within eight months. When we see you for a free cosmetic consultation, we’ll be in a better position to give you time-scales.
Why Have Spark Aligners?
Patients are often put off having orthodontic treatment because of the impact braces can have upon daily habits. None of these apply with clear, removable aligners. Here’s why Spark Aligners may be the straightening treatment for you:
Comfortable and Convenient
Spark Aligners are made to fit perfectly against your teeth and gums, making them comfortable to wear day and night. For any social events where you feel conscious about wearing them and while eating, you can simply remove them and put them back in at your convenience.
Clear and discreet
One of the main benefits of having Spark Aligners is how they are near invisible when worn. You don’t have to worry about your smile while it’s being straightened.
Shorter Treatment Times
Spark Aligners can take around eight to twelve months, a shorter time than traditional braces. How long treatment takes does depend on your case and how much movement you teeth need to achieve during the treatment.
Flexible Appointments
As you receive your aligners once they are custom-made, there is little need to have regular check-ups with your dentist or orthodontist. Because each series of aligners achieves a little more movement when you progress, you don’t have to have anything adjusted at the dental chair. That means fewer appointment times and, if you do need to have a checkup, you can do so at your own pace.
The Spark Process
Initial Consultation with an dentist
Your journey begins with a consultation to determine if Spark aligners are right for you. The dentist will assess your teeth, bite, and smile goals, and discuss how aligners compare to other options like braces or Invisalign®.
Digital Scans and Treatment Planning
If you’re a good candidate, your dentist will take 3D digital scans or impressions of your teeth, along with X-rays and photos. Using advanced software, they’ll create a precise, personalised treatment plan that maps out every step of your tooth movement.
Custom Spark Aligners Are Made
Your scans are sent to the Spark lab, where your custom aligners are created using TruGEN™ material, known for its clarity, comfort, and stain resistance. Spark aligners are laser-trimmed for a smooth fit and virtually invisible appearance.
Fitting and Instructions
Once your aligners arrive, you’ll return to the dentist to receive your first sets. The dentist may place small, tooth-coloured attachments on certain teeth to help the aligners grip and guide movement. You’ll also get detailed instructions on how and when to wear your aligners.
Wearing Your Aligners
Wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink (except water), brush, and floss. Each set is typically worn for 1-2 weeks before moving on to the next in the series. You’ll notice gradual changes as your smile shifts into place.
Regular Check-Ups
You’ll visit your dentist every 6-8 weeks for quick progress checks and to receive your next batches of aligners. These appointments ensure everything is tracking properly and allow for any necessary adjustments.
Finishing Treatment
Once you reach your final set of aligners and your teeth are in their ideal positions, your dentist will assess your results and make any fine-tuning adjustments if needed (sometimes using refinement aligners).
Retainers and Smile Maintenance
After treatment, you’ll be given a retainer, often a clear one similar to your aligners, to wear as instructed. This is crucial for maintaining your new smile and preventing teeth from shifting back.

FAQs & Common Questions
Below are some of the most common questions we receive from patients considering their dental treatment. If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Spark Aligners are clear aligners designed to gradually move teeth into their desired positions. They work similarly to other aligner systems by applying controlled forces to the teeth, which are generated through a series of custom-made aligners. Each aligner is worn for a specific period, typically about two weeks, before being replaced with the next one in the series.
Spark Aligners boast several distinguishing features, including their proprietary material composition, which is designed for optimal clarity and comfort. Additionally, their manufacturing process utilizes advanced technology to ensure precise alignment results. Spark Aligners also offer customizable treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals.
While Spark Aligners are suitable for many orthodontic cases, including mild to moderate misalignments, not everyone is a candidate. Patients with more complex orthodontic issues may require alternative treatment options such as braces or specialized orthodontic procedures. It’s essential to consult with a qualified orthodontist to determine if Spark Aligners are the right choice for you.
The duration of treatment with Spark Aligners varies depending on the individual’s orthodontic needs and the complexity of the case. In general, treatment with Spark Aligners can take anywhere from several months to a couple of years. Your orthodontist will provide a personalized treatment plan outlining the expected timeline for achieving your desired results.
Spark Aligners offer several advantages over traditional braces, including their nearly invisible appearance, which makes them a popular choice among individuals seeking a more discreet orthodontic solution. Additionally, Spark Aligners are removable, allowing for easier maintenance of oral hygiene and the ability to enjoy a broader range of foods during treatment. They also tend to cause less discomfort and irritation compared to braces, as they don’t have wires or brackets that can rub against the inside of the mouth.
